The “Share Your Story, Shape Our Memorial”, a travelling exhibition ventures into the world of historical story-telling through first person accounts and physical artifacts that lay precedence on trials, tribulations and victories the founding generations and leaders of this nation experienced in creating the Singapore we all know and love today.
Focusing on the period between 1950-1970 “a period of dramatic transformation for Singapore” as per Mr. Timothy de Souza (founders’ memorial committee member and contributor) the exhibition is beautifully curated to lay emphasis on multiculturalism, boldness, resilience, openness, integrity and service to others before self, that create the base of our founding values. Making the exhibition a resonating reminder of who we are as a nation.
Currently being showcased at Gardens by the Bay, this stop also marks the location of the upcoming Founders’ Memorial, before travelling to various locations across the island till February 2023, visitors can expect a journey through some of Singapore’s most historical milestones, through images, documents, artifacts, video, sound recordings and even interactive QR codes placed along the exhibits making it a must visit for all Singaporeans.
