India Se Media’s MD Appointed Judge For Asian Media Awards

India Se Media was honoured to have its Managing Director & Editor-in-chief invited to be a judge for the prestigious Asian Media Awards, the top media award in Asia.
Our MD Shobha Tsering Bhalla was the only woman judge on the Panel, which consisted of four experienced and well respected media experts from the US, France and Singapore.

Established in 2013, the Asian Media Awards is Organised by the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA). The awards recognise publishers who have adopted digital media and mobile strategies as part of their total product and met major changes in how people consume news and information today.

The award aims to promote the highest publishing standards in Asia. The winners will be announced during the Asian Media leaders Summit on 11 March 2020 in Singapore.

The judging was done today at the German Centre. Our MD & Editor-in-Chief is seen here with the other judges on her panel scrutinising over 40 newspapers and magazines from around Asia, including China and India.

Nithya Subramanian

Nithya Subramanian has worked with India Se since its launch in 2007. She currently manages the editorial content of the publication as well as the digital media platforms. Her responsibilities include planning, assigning and overseeing production of the content that goes into the different media platforms. Nithya has over 18 years of experience in print journalism having worked in several leading publications such as the Hindu Business Line, The Telegraph and A&M magazine. She has covered a wide range of sectors such as banking & finance, health, media & advertising, which enables her to bring in a lot of value in the editorials of India Se. She has been living in Singapore for the last 12 years and has two children Sriya (11) and Kritin (8).
