India’s leading designer, Anita Dongre, will be showcasing her exquisite designs to get you into the festive mood this weekend. Brought by Melange Singapore,  the traditionally chic collection will include occasion wear, ready-to-wear and menswear called ‘Jaipur Love’ along with Jewellery from Anita Dongre Pinkcity. And what’s best is that all this is happening for a good cause. The event marks the beginning of the festival of lights – Deepavali – a time for celebration, gratitude and giving.

Samia Khan and Bina Rampuria, two friends have organised the fundraising evening, Gala of Light. This event will raise money to support two Singapore charities – Beyond Social Services and Compassion Fund – that support local families through challenging times. This spectacular evening will comprise a cocktail reception, seated dinner, fashion show, live auction and after-party entertainment with DJ Suketu spinning the decks. The fun-filled extravaganza to be held at Marina Bay Sands on Friday, October 4, 2019, is being jointly sponsored by the Eurokars Group and Lim Ching Builders, supported by Porsche. S Iswaran, Minister of Communication and Information will be the Guest of Honour.

Apart from the gala event, a trunk show is also being held on Saturday, October 5 at the Hilton Hotel, Singapore. Here you can purchase Anita Dongre’s latest creations of clothes and jewellery that are elegant, classy and unique.

Dongre is the founder of House of Anita Dongre and is credited for being the creating four distinct brands which include AND (Western wear), Global Desi (ethnic wear), Anita Dongre (bridal, couture prêt, menswear), and Anita Dongre Grassroot (organic clothes). Growing steadily over the last two decades, she has accomplished what most designers aspire to do – open a flagship store in New York. The Bombay-based couturier has also dressed renowned celebrities including Catherine, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, Hilary Clinton, Beyoncé and Bollywood celebrities including Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra Jonas to name a few.
