Re-organising your entire home is viewed by most as an uphill task, one to be procrastinated for as long as possible, until absolutelynecessary to take on. Not because we dislike the idea of a creative challenge, but because of how overwhelming it can get. To stay motivated and focused, master this mantra by Leonardo Da Vinci, “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” The key is to start small and look at one solution, one room at a time.
Large counter bowls are especially useful for storing and showcasing fresh, colourful fruits and vegetables. Also, match your bowls with plates and utensils to the colour palette of a room as it brings a synergy and flow to the room. Neutral tones like grey, taupe and white are the easiest to use as a colour base to complement any room. To keep knick-knacks like stray toys and tools organised, consider a row of patterned boxes for added texture.
