The Toyota Camry’s new looks will only serve to make the perennial favourite a bigger hit with its loyal fan base

With its updated looks, the newly face lifted sixth generation Toyota Camry is more contemporary than ever, which means this is no longer the nondescript looking family sedan that is ubiquitously found all over Singapore. In fact, this is an ‘uncle’s car’ no more, even though I suspect it will still be; being a perennial favourite with most dads.
Since it is a facelift, for starters let us take a visual tour round the exterior of the car. At first glance, the car looks no different from the 2012 model; however, if you peer intently at the car, there are indeed some changes albeit subtle made to differentiate the 2015 Camry from the 2012 model. Some notable ones would be the huge trapezoidal air intake, generous servings of chrome on the grille and new headlamps (front) with LED daytime running lights. At the back, the rear lamps are also new and there’s another strip of chrome running across to link the rear lamps. However, even with these changes, I reckon our local market Camry would be even more appealing if it was infused with the styling of the 2016 USA Camry model.
