Commemorating 25 years of ASEAN-India relationship, the Indian government will be hosting its annual Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in Singapore on January 6-7, 2018. India’s External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj will be the chief guest while several other Cabinet Ministers and Chief Ministers are expected to attend this event.
Interacting with the media, India’s High Commissioner to Singapore, HE Jawed Ashraf said that the theme for the ASEAN India Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is ‘Ancient Route, New Journey,’ “highlighting the old linkages between India and the ASEAN and how the diaspora continues to play a big role even in the present times.”
The two-day event, held at Marina Bay Sands, will feature more than 12 sessions (ie, plenary, parallel and working luncheon sessions), sessions by business leaders, senior government officials and academics on current topics covering key sectors like infrastructure, finance, education, technology & media, competitions, fringe events, gala dinner and cultural programmes.
Sale of early bird tickets have already started. Delegates can register themselves by paying S$150 while students will be charged S$50. The fee includes: official conference kit, full access to plenary and concurrent sessions on January 6-7, 2018 (Includes Lunch and tea break session on both days) and invitation to gala dinner and cultural evening.
