More than 100 children and senior citizens were the first to enjoy a preview of the Prudential Marina Bay Carnival in Singapore. The carnival, officially opened to the public on December 15, will run till April 1, 2018. It features 40 games and rides for visitors of all ages.
The children and senior citizens from four community organisations enjoyed a preview of the carnival on December 14. They were accompanied by 60 Prudential Singapore volunteers. The four participating organisations were Fei Yue Senior Activity Centre, MINDS Gardens Woodlands School, the Community of Praise Baptist Church and the Lions Befrienders Ang Mo Kio Senior Activity Centre. Prudential is the title sponsor of the carnival.
Prudential employees presented the children and the senior citizens with gifts they had wished for through The Boys’ Brigade Adopt-a-Wish project. The gifts included school bags, electrical appliances, toys, watches and learning devices.
Prudential pledged $2 million to its community partner, The Boys’ Brigade, in November. The funds will be disbursed over 10 years and go towards providing healthy food hampers to beneficiaries under the Share-a-Gift programme.
