The first ever ASEAN-India music festival commenced at New Delhi’s Purana Quila last week to celebrate the 25th year anniversary of ASEAN-India Dialogue Relations.
Organised by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India in collaboration with Ministry of Culture and Seher, the festival will see a dozen groups from ASEAN countries taking part in the three-day celebration that will take place from 6-8 October.
The theme for this year is “Shared Values, Common Destiny”. The festival will include performances by ASEAN bands such as Tim De Cotta (Singapore), The Ugly Band (Myanmar) and The Ransom Collective (Philippines). Well-known Indian bands like the Raghu Dixit Project, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Papon LIVE and Avial will also be performing at the festival.
Entry to the festival is free to encourage music lovers to come together and let loose.
