Donald Trump has secured enough delegates to win the Republican presidential nominations. According to the Associated Press, the U.S presidential candidate needed 1,237 delegates to clinch the primary campaign; Trump has 1,239.
The news comes as little surprise after Trump’s two opponents, Ted Cruz and John Kasich, dropped out of the race earlier this month. Trump’s cry to “Make America Great Again,” by building a wall and banning Muslims from entering the country has resonated with many citizens eager for change. However, not everybody supports his xenophobic ideologies.
President Obama has repeatedly spoken out against Trump, claiming that his candidacy has “rattled” world leaders.
