The nouveau riche Indian requires little initiation into the world of luxury, and their favourite onscreen idols will only give them that extra nudge to make them aware that it is worthwhile to invest in these time pieces. Just like your address and automobile, the watch you wear is a status symbol. Luxury watches spell glamour, sophistication and elegance, much like the larger than life stars who endorse them.
What has always interested me is how appropriately brands choose their Bollywood ambassadors. It is almost as if the product and the face collapse into one entity as they represent the same core values.
